Physically impairing substances are those that impair the ability of the person taking them to function at 100% normal capacity. Drugs and alcohol are commonly associated with physical impairment, in which they inhibit a person to focus clearly, often leading to rash decision making, acts out of character and otherwise poor judgement when making decisions.
